Help Us Choose a Theme for Next Summer's Short Play Festival
We’re brainstorming possible themes for next summer’s short play festival and we could use your help. Our summer festival has evolved over the years as a vehicle to not only showcase the talents of local playwrights, but also to explore a topic from a multitude of perspectives in order to inspire curiosity and conversation about the theme being explored. Past festivals include Timepieces, Mating Games Short Comedies about Love and Sex, and iPlayz: Life and Death in the Digital Age. .
If you have a topic you would like to suggest, please post your suggestion on our old Facebook Page, which will soon be converted to STW, or shoot us a suggestion to our old email firstname.lastname@example.org. We plan on taking the top suggestions and holding a public voting to choose what topic we explore next.

What Happened to Seattle Playwrights’ Collective?
We are extremely proud of the work we did under the banner of Seattle Playwrights’ Collective. Over the past five years, we produced numerous readings and short play festivals, giving opportunities to a host of artists from throughout the region. However, as SPC grew, it became clear that the umbrella would need to be widened to include artists from other disciplines to participate as company members. We are still offering the same menu of offerings, the same focus on developing new work, and many of the same people involved. We just have a new name and more collaborators. We hope you will join us on the next leg of our journey.
